Texas man charged with murder in Ole Miss student Ally Kostial's death

Who was Ally Kostial?

It was discovered Kostial at 10:23 a.m. In Harmontown, Mississippi, near Sardis Lake, about 20 miles from the Oxford campus of the University of Mississippi, where Kostial lived for the summer. The office of the sheriff said that in her death it was "evident that foul play was engaged."

Sources told WLBT that deputies near Buford's Ridge found the body of Kostial. The distant region involves a fishing camp and an area where on weekends, when the water is low, local and college learners ride ATVs. The water was high on Friday and Saturday, according to the news station, so there was less activity in the region.

Neighbors informed WMCA-TV they were amazed in their tiny and remote neighborhood to see emergency responders. "I was sitting on the couch and watching the ambulance go by and I was curious and walked outside and then the next thing I understand the coroner came by and two unmarked cars," said neighbor Michelle Bramlett to the news station.  She added, “I just can’t imagine what the parents are going through right now and their family. It’s just very devastating.”

Jim Bob Bromley, another neighbor, told WMCA, "You shouldn't have to bury your children. No one can define this kind of pain and it's eternal. It's not gone. It's getting better, but it's not going away.
